Kia to produce LPG Hybrids within next twelve months - 22nd January 2010

Kia is conducting trials that are collecting data to be used in the manufacture of a commercially viable liquid petroleum gas (LPG) hybrid within 12 months.

UK trials for hybrids

Kia hasn't released an on-sale date for its hybrid vehicles in the UK, but trials of petrol and diesel hybrid vehicles are expected to start here later this year.

In terms of local air quality a car or van running on LPG produces 20 times less NOx than its equivalent diesel and 120 times fewer fine particles.
