"We predict a big jump in demand for Auto LPG over the next ten years, as customers look for a cheaper and greener alternative to petrol. Based on the prevailing fuel rates, Auto LPG is almost 40% cheaper than Petrol.
Aegis Autogas is superior quality LPG that can be used as an automotive fuel. Apart from being a much cleaner and greener fuel in comparison to petrol and diesel, the biggest advantage lies in its affordability as compared to petrol. Autogas also extends engine life so that vehicle maintenance costs are at least 15% to 20% less.
Aegis Logistics Ltd., a public listed company, is a leader in Oil and Gas Logistics. Aegis owns and operates a state-of-the-art 20,000 MT refrigerated Gas Terminal at Trombay in Mumbai through which it has been importing, marketing and distributing annually about 3,00,000 3,50,000 MT of bulk LPG and Propane to many customers in the Western Region, apart from retailing its branded "Aegis Autogas" through its ALDS.

This cross-selling arrangement would primarily cover 7 states including Karnataka. The Alliance will help Aegis in reaching its goal of 300 Auto LPG outlets by 2012.
Further, in a major deal announced in December 2009, Aegis entered into an agreement to acquire Shell Gas (LPG) India. Aegis will import additional gas through a LPG terminal at Pipavav Port in Gujarat and enter into a new market segment for commercial LPG cylinders, along with a greater autogas presence in Gujarat.
