Congestion Charge

Transport for London. Congestion Charging.

The London Congestion Charge (LCC) operates around the Central London area from 7:30am-6:30pm, Monday to Friday. If any vehicle wishes to use the LCC area, it is necessary to pay a fee of £8 per day.

Once converted to LPG, some vehicles are eligible for an exemption of the Congestion Charge, meaning that drivers are free to drive in and out of the LCC zone without paying a penny!

For a car to be exempt from the LCC it must meet Band 4 Criteria, meaning Nitrogen and Hydrocarbon emissions must be 40% lower than the Euro IV Standard. Cars must be supplied or converted by an approved supplier and listed as meeting an equivalent missions standard in the Transport Energy CleanUp Register (Adobe PDF Document).

Many of our business and commuting customers have reported that they have been able to make savings of many thousands of pounds (£000s) each year by not having to pay the LCC.

On 19th February 2007, the LCC Zone will be extended, resulting in even more drivers being affected by the charging structure.
