Tax & Duty
The UK government offers savings in two main ways:
- Reduced rate of duty levied on LPG
Owing to LPG’s environmental benefits, the fuel attracts only a modest percentage of the taxation that unleaded petrol or diesel does. This essentially means that LPG is available at most outlets for just under 50% of the price of unleaded petrol.
- Reduced car tax (VED)
Upon notifying the DVLA of the LPG conversion, owners typically find that their Vehicle Excise Duty (VED, or Car Tax) is reduced by £10-£15 per year
